after looking on the cruzetalk forums, many members have found that the amount of transmission fluid chevrolet puts into their transmissions, about 2 quarts, is not enough for 5th and 6th gear and they recommend putting in 2.5 quarts. chevrolet denies there is a problem even though they caused my clutch to melt and cost me $1,800 to fix it.

Any mechanic or DIYer will be able to do this IMO. Having watched the procedure it's extremely simple. [As others have stated, it's probably a good idea to inspect and replace the oil lines, as well as the PCV and valve cover as that seems to be another issue with these engines which can throw a variety of fault codes and warning lights.
